Surprisingly good read considering the corny plot basis. I have to say “dog of a man turned into man of a dog” is certainly an idea many have entertained, but most cannot say they’ve read a novel based on that idea…and actually enjoyed it. Not being a dog person myself, I was even more skeptical. You start to enjoy the book when you actually look past the idea of it being about a dog, and see that it’s more about relationships and people. It’s about being given a second chance to see what you’ve been doing wrong and even better – a chance to fix it!
